As part of the Abuakwa North KOIKA initiative, students from Osiem R/C JHS were live on Nopras FM today, discussing the impact of social media on adolescents!

They shared insightful perspectives on:

Cyberbullying and online safety
Social media addiction and mental health
Positive online interactions and digital citizenship

Kudos to these young advocates for taking the lead in promoting responsible social media 

The students expressed gratitude to KOIKA for the initiative and to Mrs. Grace Adza Awude, Director of Education, for her unwavering support.

"We appreciate KOIKA's efforts in empowering us through education and advocacy," said the students 

"We're thankful for Mrs. Awude's leadership and commitment to improving education in Abuakwa North," added the students

The discussion, moderated by Mr Awal Adam

"We're proud of our students for taking initiative and sharing their perspectives on this critical issue," said the head teacher

The headteacher seized the opportunity to appeal to stakeholders and the government to provide the school with adequate infrastructure, citing the current Junior High School's pavilion-style structure.

"Our students deserve a conducive learning environment. We urgently need modern school buildings to enhance teaching and learning," Headteacher's emphasized

This appearance demonstrates Osiem R/C JHS's commitment to empowering students to navigate the digital world
