E/R: Abuakwa North NCCE Marks Chocolate Day with Moral Education and Health Awareness at St. Paul’s Technical School
The Abuakwa North Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), led by Mrs. Beatrice N. Opoku Budu, has organized the 5th edition of its annual Chocolate Day celebration at St. Paul’s Technical School in Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region. The event, held on 6th February 2026, formed part of activities ahead of the national Chocolate Day marked on 14th February each year. In an interview with the press, Mrs. Opoku Budu explained that the initiative is aimed at promoting healthy living among students by encouraging the consumption of chocolate drinks as a healthier alternative to alcoholism. She added that the programme also focused on addressing issues of gross indecency and promoting moral discipline among the youth. As part of the event, two drama performances were staged for the students.
