E/R:NADMO Requests Meeting with Bunso Eco Park Management Ahead of Festive Season

The Abuakwa South Municipal NADMO Secretariat  has officially requested a meeting with the management of Bunso Eco Park as part of its Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) activities for the upcoming festive season. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 9th December 2025, at Bunso in the Eastern Region. 

According to the letter signed by the Municipal Director, Mr. Aikins Ofori, NADMO aims to ensure a safe and well-prepared environment as visitor numbers are expected to increase during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The engagement will focus on assessing recreational areas within the park, reviewing planned festive activities, and establishing a Disaster Response and First-Aid Point to enhance safety and emergency preparedness. 


NADMO believes that the collaboration will help strengthen public safety measures, safeguard lives and property, and support a smooth experience for all patrons of Bunso Eco Park during the busy holiday period.

  The Abuakwa North Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga, has recognized two prominent leaders for their dedication and impactful contributions to the community. Dr. Kingsley Agyeman, the parliamentary candidate for Abuakwa South Constituency, has extended a generous hand to support local youth and artisans. In a heartwarming ceremony held at Akyem Maase, Dr. Agyeman, along with key New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives, donated essential equipment and financial support to aspiring apprentices in dressmaking and hairdressing. Koforidua, Ghana – The Eastern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has inaugurated a nine-member illegal mining task force to combat the growing menace of galamsey and protect the region’s lands, forests, and water bodies for future generations.
