E/R:Abuakwa North NPP Communication Director Bemoans Lack of Development Under Current Leadership

The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency, Mr. Stephen Osei-Wusu, who also serves as the Personal Assistant to the former Member of Parliament and former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, has expressed deep concern over what he describes as the complete absence of developmental projects in the constituency.

Speaking on Nopras 107.5 FM’s morning show hosted by Awal Adams on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, and monitored by MightyNews360, Mr. Osei-Wusu stated that the current leadership of Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region has failed to initiate or complete any significant development projects since assuming office.

He noted that this situation has become a major source of worry to residents, as communities continue to struggle with poor road networks, limited access to quality education, and inadequate social amenities, despite the area’s potential for growth and development.

> “Abuakwa North has not witnessed any meaningful development in recent times under the current leadership. It’s a very worrying situation, and we are calling on the central government to intervene and help,” he said.

Mr. Osei-Wusu further called on government agencies and key stakeholders to pay attention to the needs of Abuakwa North, stressing that development should not be tied to political considerations but rather to the welfare of the people.

He also urged unity among opinion leaders, traditional authorities, and political actors within the constituency to collaborate and attract the necessary infrastructure and social development projects that will improve the lives of residents.
