E/R: Kwahu West MUSEC Clears Illegal Structures at Nkawkaw Agbogbloshie After Tragic Incident
The Kwahu West Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) has undertaken a major demolition exercise at the Nkawkaw Agbogbloshie enclave, removing several unauthorized temporary structures and evicting squatters following a recent tragic incident in the area.
Speaking to the media, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, explained that the operation aimed to restore order and sanity while enhancing security to prevent future loss of lives. The exercise, conducted in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), targeted illegal structures erected around the scene of the murder of the late musician, Fada Gaza.
Hon. Tamimu emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to halting illegal developments within the municipality, stating that decisive steps will be taken to safeguard the safety and well-being of residents.
On his part, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Rev. Daniel Nkrumah, expressed concern about the proliferation of unauthorized structures, noting that none of those demolished had valid building permits. He assured that the Assembly will intensify monitoring and enforcement to prevent similar occurrences in the future, while advising the youth to desist from unlawful activities and engage in productive ventures.
