E/R:Juliet Johnston School Complex, Primary Department Holds Successful Prefects Elections

 

Juliet Johnston School Complex, Primary Department in Akyem Tafo in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, on Friday, 12th September, 2025, held its prefectship elections to elect new student leaders.


The exercise was conducted under the supervision of electoral officers to ensure fairness and transparency. According to UK Director, Mrs Fiona Basil Johnston and the Country Director, Madam Juliet Osafo Gladys, the initiative forms part of efforts to train pupils in civic responsibility, democratic practices, and peaceful participation in elections.


Out of 221 expected voters, a total of 198 students turned out to cast their ballots, with no spoiled ballot papers recorded.

The elections were described as peaceful, with students demonstrating maturity and commitment to the democratic process.
