E/R: Asiedu Nketia Tours Nkawkaw to Thank Supporters, Calls for Patience Among Party Members

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has extended his “Thank You Tour” to the Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern Region.

The tour, according to him, is to show appreciation to the rural voters he personally campaigned to during the 2024 elections. While some political observers suggest the tour could be laying grounds for a future presidential ambition, Mr. Asiedu Nketia emphasized that it was solely to fulfill his promise of returning gratitude to the people.

Addressing party faithful, branch executives, cadres, grassroots organizers, and traditional leaders of Kwahu, the NDC Chairman expressed profound gratitude for their immense contributions to the party’s 2024 victory.

Touching on growing concerns from members yet to receive government appointments, Mr. Asiedu Nketia urged patience, assuring that leadership is working to create opportunities for loyal members. He cautioned against complacency, stressing that if the party failed to remain focused in governance, Ghanaians could easily vote them out.

On his part, Nkawkaw Constituency NDC Chairman, Mr. Halidu Tamimu, described the tour as a timely initiative to reconnect with the grassroots and reaffirm the party’s commitment to job creation. He appealed for calm among members, assuring them of opportunities in due time.

Mr. Tamimu further noted that Asiedu Nketia’s approach reflects the NDC’s broader strategy of maintaining close ties with its base, emphasizing that continued engagement and appreciation would strengthen party unity and set the tone for how grassroots contributions are acknowledged.
